Duties & Responsibilities
The purpose of the Building Department is to administer and enforce the adopted codes of Liberal. This department also provides the minimum standards to safeguard life, health, property, and public welfare.
Regulation & Control
The department accomplishes this by regulating and controlling the following of all buildings and structures within the City of Liberal:
- Design
- Construction
- Location
- Quality of materials
- Use of occupancy
